PROVIDENCE – PBN.com is sporting a new, streamlined look. The revamped website features a simplified page design that offers readers easier access to Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts’ most comprehensive collection of business news and events.
The new design allows readers to easily view all of PBN’s story categories directly from the homepage drop-down menu. In addition, the homepage features prominent “Local News,” “Subscriber Content” and “People” sections.
Information about the most recent and upcoming PBN Events is available from the homepage, as well as current stock market indicators, the latest electronic edition of the paper and access to the current online poll.
To celebrate our grand re-design, and to give our readers a chance to familiarize themselves with the new site, Providence Business News is dropping the PBN.com pay wall for a month. Until Oct. 15, all readers on PBN.com will be able to access subscriber-only content from the print edition in addition to the free content that PBN’s news staff posts to the site daily.
When the pay wall goes back up, the richest collection of stories and information on PBN.com require a subscription, either print and digital or just digital. Stories can also be purchased individually. Follow the link in the top right-hand corner of the screen to subscribe or sign up for our free, daily news email updates and industry-centered e-newsletters.
And keep an eye on our site, as we’ll be rolling out new key features including an updated dining guide, access to the Book of Lists and more rich media content.
The new website was designed by Pawtucket-based Embolden Inc., which has more than 100 clients in the nonprofit, community organization and financial/professional services sectors, including the Bank of Rhode Island, KVH Industries and the Rhode Island Foundation. PBN’s web developer, East Providence-based Creative Circle Advertising Solutions is still providing design support and technical expertise.
