PROVIDENCE – A Providence College 2013 recruitment publication entitled “Great Minds Don’t All Think Alike,” recently earned a top award in a competition sponsored by a Washington, D.C.-based higher-education group.

The 27-page publication, which can also be viewed online at http://www.providence.edu/apply/Documents/Great_Minds.pdf, won a gold award in the Circle of Excellence contest run by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Given to prospective students when they visit campus, the publication will be updated and mailed to accepted students this fall, the college said. It touts the school’s academic programs and academic fixtures, in particular the Core Curriculum, the Development of Western Civilization program, and the college’s Catholic and Dominican identities. •
