PWCVB holding annual meeting in November

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau’s annual meeting will be held on Nov. 1 at the Rhode Island Convention Center, according to an announcement by the organization on Friday.

Recipients of the PWCVB’s Recognition of Service Excellence awards will be honored at the event. Today is the final day to submit a nomination for the ROSE awards, which are given to front-line or behind-the-scenes service and hospitality industry personnel.

During the awards ceremony, Peter Conway, CEO of Conway Tours/Gray Line RI, will be inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame; the Providence River Boat Co. will be named member of the year; Thomas A. Mezzanotte, executive director of the R.I. Interscholastic League, will be honored as the R.I. sports champion; and special recognition will be given to the Downtown Improvement District.

Individual tickets are $60 and table sponsorships for 10 guests are available for $600. Registration will open at 4 p.m. with the program beginning at 4:30 p.m. and a reception immediately following.
