Passenger traffic rises at T.F. Green in November

WARWICK – Passenger traffic increased again at T.F. Green Airport in November, rising 2.4 percent to 308,158 from 300,812 a year ago.
Year to date through November, passenger traffic climbed 2.6 percent to 3,363,495 from 3,279,966 during the same time period last year, the R.I. Airport Corp. said Thursday.
United Airlines, with a 9 percent market share, had the greatest increase in passengers over the year in November at 6.7 percent, to 27,798 from 26,058.
Southwest Airlines, which holds the largest market share at the airport at 47.2 percent, experienced a 3.4 percent increase in passengers in November compared with November 2015, to 145,550 from 140,707.
American Airlines, with a nearly 23 percent market share, had a 3.5 percent increase in passengers, to 70,243 from 67,861.
Delta Airlines, with a 12.2 percent market share, had the greatest decline in passengers, at 3.3 percent, to 37,547 from 38,836.
TACV Cabo Verde Airlines, which flies year-round to Cape Verde, holds the smallest market share at 0.5 percent. It also had a 1 percent decline over the year in passengers, to 1,660 from 1,677.
JetBlue Airways, with a 7.6 percent market share, had a slight decline in passengers of 0.1 percent over the year, to 23,273 from 23,296.

Cargo increased nearly 18 percent in November, to 2,368,193 pounds, and rose 1.2 percent year to date, to 24,216,775 pounds.
