WARWICK – Passenger traffic at T.F. Green Airport increased 5.1 percent over the year in June, to 317,417 from 301,890, and 4 percent through the first six months of the year, to 1,764,679 from 1,692,204.
The R.I. Airport Corp. released the June passenger traffic numbers Thursday, showing data for the seven major airlines flying out of T.F. Green. All but one – United Airlines – reported increases.
Condor Airlines, which offers seasonal service to Frankfurt, Germany, had the largest percentage increase in passengers in June at 26.3 percent, to 1,933 from 1,531 in June 2015.
That was followed by American Airlines’ 20.3 percent increase, to 84,296 from 70,073 a year ago, and JetBlue Airway’s 3.7 percent increase, to 22,993 from 22,182.
Delta Airlines had a 1.1 percent increase in passengers, to 41,243 from 40,807.
Southwest Airlines, with the largest market share at 43.3 percent, also reported more passengers. It had 136,891 passengers in June, a 0.69 percent increase from June 2015.
TACV Cabo Verde Airlines, which flies year-round to Cape Verde, reported a 0.35 percent passenger increase, to 2,905 from 2,895.
United Airlines reported a 0.89 percent passenger decrease, to 26,970 from 27,212.
