Passeonkquis Cove land to be preserved as open space

WARWICK – The city has acquired 3.5 acres of land at Passeonkquis Cove, to be preserved as open space, Mayor Scott Avedisian announced recently.
The National Heritage Preservation Commission Local Open Space Conservation and Acquisition Grant, with support from the Warwick Land Trust, provided the financing. The land area covers 14 property lots.
The acquisition will help the city improve connectivity of parks, increase open space, and improve recreation land and water resources, according to a news release.
