Pawtucket Credit Union gives $32K in scholarships

Pawtucket Credit Union awarded $8,000 scholarships to four local students heading to college this fall. Each recipient will receive $2,000 a year for the next four years.

PCU’s “Investing in your future” scholarship was founded in 1996 and in the past 18 years, the program has awarded more than 214 scholarships

“Our scholarship program has been designed to follow each recipient throughout their college years, enabling students to focus on their educational goals with less economic distraction,” said Karl A. Kozak, president and CEO of PCU.

This year’s recipients were Daniel Keane from Narragansett High School, Nicholas Lancellotti from Seekonk High School, Cara Lavallee from Bishop Feehan High School and Kaitlin Walsh from La Salle Academy,

In the fall, Keane will attend Georgia Institute of Technology, Lancellotti will attend Northeastern University, Lavallee will attend the University of Rhode Island and Walsh will attend Boston University. •
