During its 10th annual Awards Celebration, held April 9, The Pawtucket Foundation recognized three individuals for their outstanding contributions to the quality of economic and community life in Pawtucket.
Visual artist Gretchen Dow Simpson received the Special Distinction Award, Stewart H. “Nick” Steffey Jr., of Narragansett Bay Insurance Co. received the Heritage Award, and William J. Hunt of Shove Insurance received the Person of the Year Award.
Throughout its history, the foundation has presented 26 awards. The recipients were recognized in a video presentation shown during the event.
“Each of these individuals embodies the leadership and passion that The Pawtucket Foundation strives to achieve in our work,” said Aaron Hertzberg, executive director of The Pawtucket Foundation. “When we achieve our vision, it will be because of the leadership our 26 awards honorees provided and because countless future honorees will continue to step forward and commit themselves to Pawtucket’s revitalization.” •
