PeaceLove Studio’s fundraiser to honor Stenning

PAWTUCKET – The PeaceLove Studio’s annual Get Your PeaceLove On fundraiser will be held May 1 at The Met in Pawtucket and will honor Craig Stenning, director of the R.I. Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals.
One-hundred percent of funds raised through the $50 ticket price will go toward providing free expressive art experiences impacted by mental health disorders.
The event will feature a comedic performance by Chicago’s Second City Communications improve group and food from Café Luna, as well as live music and a silent auction.
PeaceLove Studios, which uses art to serve those with mental illness, was started by Jeffrey Sparr and his cousin Matthew Kaplan after Sparr’s story of coping with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder was featured on The Discovery Channel and inspired him to take his painting therapy practice public.
