Peregrine Group LLC and Peregrine Property Management recently held a clothing/shoes collection drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State during the annual Peregrine Invitational golf tournament.
The tournament yielded 1,800 pounds of clothing, as well as a $100 cash donation, according to Lori Viner, operations director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center. Viner mentioned that this was a significant collection for a one-day drive.
Brendan Kane, partner with Peregrine Group LLC and Peregrine Property Management, is also a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State and he realized there was an opportunity to extend his support during the tournament.
“We simply challenged our guests of the Peregrine golf outing to raid their closet and donate as much as they could,” Kane said. “We figured it was a huge one-day drive after we were told it totaled 1,800 pounds of donated clothing. Thank you to all of our network and business partners for making this the huge success that it was.” •
