Pesta joins Women’s Medical Collaborative, to focus on preventative medicine

PROVIDENCE – The Women’s Medicine Collaborative recently announced that Dr. Lynn Pesta has joined its Women’s Primary Care team. She began treating patients on Sept. 1.

Pesta’s clinical interests include preventative medicine and cancer screening, and she is board eligible in internal medicine. She received her medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She completed her residency at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

“Disease prevention is a key component of good health care,” Pesta said, “whether advising a patient on lifestyle modifications best suited to their individual good health or suggesting a cancer screening to improve chances for early detection. The health and well-being of patients is paramount.”
