ENDOMETRIOSIS FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER

The Endometriosis Foundation of Rhode Island will host Charmed by Charity, an event to raise awareness of endometriosis and funds, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Alex and Ani, 2000 Chapel View Blvd., Cranston. FOSTER PARENT OPEN HOUSE

Child & Family Foster Care will host an open house for prospective foster parents from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24. The meeting will be held at 1268 Eddy St., Providence. CHERYL WHEELER BENEFIT CONCERT

Singer and songwriter Cheryl Wheeler will host a concert to benefit Everett: Company, Stage, and School at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at The Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., Fall River. ENGAGING THE MEDIA

The Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence at The Rhode Island Foundation will offer a workshop on successfully engaging the media from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7 at The Rhode Island Foundation, 1 Union Station, Providence. Deb Ruggiero, a communications consultant at DH Communications Group, will present on the dos and don’ts of sharing an organizations story with the media in addition to framing, staying on message and preparing for interviews. JUNIOR LEAGUE WINTER SPARKLE

The Junior League of Rhode Island Inc. will host a Winter Sparkle culinary event from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum, 199 Hope St., Providence. The event includes food and drinks provided by local restaurants, caterers and spirits connoisseurs, including Matunuck Oyster Bar, Wildwood Catering, Preston Layne Wine, Sons of Liberty Distillery and Nantucket’s Triple Eight Distillery and more.
