The United Chambers of Southern Rhode Island will present a Go Red For Women Ladies Lunch at noon on Friday, Feb. 1 at Haversham Inn, 336 Post Road, Westerly. FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON
Camp Sunshine will host a Freezin’ For a Reason polar dip at noon on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Marley’s on the Beach, 855 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick. Participants will collect pledges and then plunge into the ocean to raise money for Camp Sunshine, a retreat in Maine for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Organizers hope to raise $25,000, enough to send 12 Rhode Island families to the camp. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges and create teams of four or more people.
