GO RED LUNCHEON

The United Chambers of Southern Rhode Island will present a Go Red For Women Ladies Lunch at noon on Friday, Feb. 1 at Haversham Inn, 336 Post Road, Westerly. Entrée selections include haddock or half-roasted chicken. A cash bar will be available. Those attending are asked to wear red in support of heart disease awareness. Cost: $20, $5 will go to the American Heart Association. There will be a silent auction to raise additional funds for the American Heart Association. Registration is requested by Thursday, Jan. 31. Courthouse CenterStage’s Board of Directors will hold a casual fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 at The Mews Tavern, 456 Main St., Wakefield. The evening includes food, relaxed conversation and a live auction. Proceeds will support the performing arts center’s 2013 season. Cost: $50. AHA COCKTAIL PARTY

Kent Hospital will host a Step Out In Red Cocktail Party to benefit the American Heart Association from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8. The event will be held at BLU on the Water, 20 Water St., East Greenwich. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and entertainment will be provided by Morning Glory. The event coincides with the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day. Tickets: $35. CUPID BALL

The Center by the Blackstone will hold its inaugural Cupid Ball from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at the center, 175 Main St., Pawtucket. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour during which guests may enter for a chance to win door prizes. A four-course Italian dinner catered by Spumoni’s Restaurant will be served at 7 p.m. with a glass of wine and dessert. Following dinner, guests may dance to love and dance songs from a variety of eras. A cash bar will be available. Tickets: $50 singles, $90 couples. FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON

Camp Sunshine will host a Freezin’ For a Reason polar dip at noon on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Marley’s on the Beach, 855 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick. Participants will collect pledges and then plunge into the ocean to raise money for Camp Sunshine, a retreat in Maine for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Organizers hope to raise $25,000, enough to send 12 Rhode Island families to the camp. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges and create teams of four or more people.
