URBAN BEAUTY FUNDRAISER

Festival Ballet Providence will hold a fundraising gala, Urban Beauty, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at Aspire at Hotel Providence, 311 Westminster St., Providence. The event includes complimentary valet parking, an open wine bar, hors d’oeuvres, live jazz music and live and silent auctions. Gene Valicenti will serve as emcee. Big Brothers Big Sister of the Ocean State will hold its annual gala, The Big Night Out: Bollywood, from 6 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, April 27, at the Hyatt Regency, Goat Island, Newport. The event will feature dinner, live and silent auctions and music and entertainment. Honorees will be inducted into the magical circle, and the agency’s Legacy Award winner will be announced. GOLFING FOR VETERANS

Operation Stand Down Rhode Island will hold a golf tournament to benefit disabled homeless veterans from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Swansea Country Club, 399 Market St., Swansea. Participants will play 18 holes on the club’s Executive Course. The tournament begins with registration at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Cost: $75 per golfer, includes cart and lunch. AUTISM PROJECT WALK

The Imagine Walk & Family Fun Day for Autism, presented by The Autism Project, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at Goddard Memorial State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick. The event includes a 2K walkathon and a variety of free activities, including bounce houses, a reptile show, arts, crafts and face painting. Participants may create teams and collect pledges for the cause. On the day of the walk, the first 500 participants to check in with $100 or more in pledges will receive free t-shirts. WALK FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION

St. Mary’s Home for Children will hold the second annual Heal and Hope Walk to benefit programs serving children who are victims of abuse at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 28. In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention month, participants will take a 3-mile walk starting at 420 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence. Following the walk, there will be children’s activities, an education area and fitness demonstrations. Food will be available for purchase. Registration: $25 adults, $15 children 12 and younger.
