HEALING HANDS FOR ARTHRITIS
Massage Envy in Rhode Island will host its third annual arthritis-awareness event on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at its Rhode Island locations. The event is part of a one-day national event to donate $10 from every one-hour massage or facial session to the Arthritis Foundation. Cost: $49 for massage; $59 for facial. JUNIOR LEAGUE FUNDRAISER
The Junior League of Rhode Island Inc. will host a fundraising event from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Paint and Vino, 150 Main St., Pawtucket. Guests at the event will have the opportunity to receive art lessons from a trained art instructor. All proceeds will support the league’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities. ZERO-TRASH BIRTHDAY BASH FUNDRAISER
ecoRI News will host its fourth annual birthday fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Friendship Café, 500 Broad St., Providence. The event will feature a silent auction and local food prepared by the Amos House’s More Than A Meal Catering company with local beer from Revival Brewing Co. 2013 INDUSTRIAL BALL
Riverzedge Arts will host a fundraising event from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at The Plant, Unit 108, 60 Valley St., Providence. The event, which is being held to raise funds for at-risk teens, will feature traditional carnival activities like fortune telling and games with a modern twist as well as music, dancing and food. OCEAN STATE THEATRE FUNDRAISER
Ocean State Theatre will host a fundraising event at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the theater on 1245 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. The red carpet event, “I Dreamed a Dream” will feature food, drink, live and silent auctions, an exclusive sneak peek of the Rhode Island Regional Theatre premiere of Les Misérables and dessert and coffee with the cast. FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER
Amos House will host a dinner fundraiser beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at
the Steel Yard, 27 Sims Ave., Providence. The event begins with a VIP reception and workshop, “Pasture to Plate” where guests can sample cocktails and appetizers while learning how to use fine spirits and fresh ingredients to create cocktails for every occasion. Following the reception a gourmet dinner spotlighting seasonal fall produce, sustainable meat and freshly caught seafood from local farmers will be served with wine and beer pairings. Chef, author and Food Network host Dave Lieberman will MC the event. Funds raised will provide direct support for men, women, and children in Rhode Island who are hungry, homeless and in crisis.
