TIP-A-COP FUNDRAISER
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. will host a fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Red Robin Restaurant, 400 Bald Hill Road, Warwick. During the event, members of Rhode Island police, fire and corrections departments from across the state will act as “celebrity waiters,” serving guests and donating tips earned to Special Olympics Rhode Island in support of its year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 2,800 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. WARM HEART GALA
The Warm Center will host a fundraising event from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at The Haversham House, 336 Post Road, Westerly. The event will feature food and music as the center along with silent and live auctions including items ranging from sports tickets and memorabilia to museum passes, kayaks and dinner packages. HARVEST FESTIVAL
St. Pius V Church will host its annual Harvest Festival beginning with a 5K road race at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at St. Pius V School, 49 Elmhurst Ave., Providence. The festival will celebrate the church’s founding 95 years ago and all proceeds will benefit St. Pius V School. The event will include a flea market, live entertainment by local bands, Irish dancers, a magic show, children’s games and rides, Bocce tournament, raffles and booths. A food court and beer and wine garden will open at noon. Race registration opens at 8 a.m. and costs $25. FALL FASHION SHOW FUNDRAISER
Kent Hospital Auxiliary will host “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” a fall fashion show and luncheon beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Quidnessett Country Club, 950 N Quidnessett Road, North Kingstown. The event will feature local vendors, raffles, special events and fashions from Coldwater Creek and Gown Town. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by the fashion show. Cost: $35. TASTE OF THE REGION
The United Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its annual food festival and fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Tri-County Regional Vocational High School, 147 Pond St., Franklin. BEACON CHARTER SCHOOL GALA
Beacon Charter High School for the Arts will host its tenth anniversary gala and silent auction at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center, 84 Cumberland St., Woonsocket. The event, “Honoring the Past. Moving Ahead” will explore the history of the school, its future plans and honor key members of the community who were instrumental in ensuring the school’s success. Artistic works from the school’s visual student artists will be on display and the school’s theater students will perform as living statues. A silent auction with student artwork, sports tickets, personal technology, and themed baskets will be held. PROVIDENCE COMMUNITY HEALTH FUNDRAISER
Providence Community Health Centers will host its annual fundraising event from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 Providence Public Library, 225 Washington St., Providence. The event will feature cocktails and food provided by Russell Morin Fine Catering, music, a silent auction for an exotic vacation trip to Costa Rica, and another for the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa Valley, California, as well as other raffle items. All proceeds will support the center’s mission to provide neighborhood-based high quality and accessible primary care to improve the health status of the residents of Providence and surrounding communities, regardless of their ability to pay.
