If a nonprofit wants an upcoming fundraiser to be considered for a calendar listing, email information to at least four weeks in advance of the event.


Community Care Services will hold a 5K run/walk Saturday, June 23 at 8:30 a.m. to benefit the organization. The event will take place at Myles Standish Industrial Park, beginning at the Columbia Cultural Center, 775 John Quincy Adams Road. The run will begin at 10 a.m. and the walk will start at 10:15 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Carnival-type games, face painting, refreshments entertainment and raffles will follow the run/walk. Registration fee is $25 for runners, $10 for walkers. Registration is not required. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State will host a Welcome to Summer Celebration, featuring blues ensemble Roomful of Blues Saturday, June 23 from 7 to 11:30 p.m. The event will be held at Bonnet Shores Beach Club, 175 Bonnet Point Road, Narragansett. Guests will enjoy a light beach fare and cash bar. Tickets are $30 per person. Allstate Insurance and Bay Realty will host the 31st annual reception fundraiser to benefit Meeting Street Tuesday, June 26 at the Coast Guard House, 40 Ocean Road, Narragansett. From 5 to 8 p.m., attendees can sip cocktails on the deck, while taking in views of Narragansett Bay. Hors d’ouevres and a pasta station will be provided by Coast Guard House. URI basketball coach Dan Hurley will serve as the event’s honorary chair. Tickets are $40 per person, or $70 for two. CHARITYRevolution will host a fundraiser to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island Thursday, June 28 at Cuban Revolution, 60 Valley St., Providence. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a silent auction and raffle. Those in attendance will be asked for a $5 donation. Raffle tickets will be available for $5. Rhode Island Child and Family will present Au Courant, a runway show and benefit, Saturday, June 30 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Ochre Court mansion, 100 Ochre Point Ave., Newport. The event will feature an open bar cocktail party, entertainment and dancing. Those in attendance will have the chance to see upcoming fashion designs before they debut at StyleWeek Northeast in August. Guests can mingle with designers and purchase garments. Tickets are $100.
