Newport Film will hold a special film screening and joint benefit with Child & Family on Thursday, June 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Casino Theater, 9 Freebody St., Newport. The event will feature a cocktail party, silent auction and screening of the film, “Girl Rising” which tells the story of nine girls from different countries who face extreme injustices and advocate for change through education.
