Friends of Friends of Rhode Island Court Appointed Special Advocates will host a clam bake at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Community Boating Center, 109 India St., Providence. All proceeds benefit neglected and abused children throughout Rhode Island. The event will feature food, drinks, music and free boat rides on the Narragansett Bay. Menu includes; lobster, BBQ chicken, clam cakes, chowder, corn on the cob, potato salad, and corn bread. The East Providence Elks Riders Lodge #2337will host its 21st annual “Motorcycle Mystery Ride” at noon on Sunday, Aug. 4 at East Warren Rod & Gun Club (Pavilion), 24 Long Lane, Warren. The event will feature a buffet, music, mileage pool, 50/50 raffle, and door prizes. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Ride will be fully police escorted and ends at Scampi Seafood Restaurant, 657 Park Ave., Portsmouth. Rain date: August 11. Helmets will be needed. The Friends of the Bristol Animal Shelter will host its third annual 50 States Tour with Patrick Lomantini from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5 at New Leaf Hair Studio, 18 State St., Bristol. Lomantini will be cutting hair for a minimum $20 donation to benefit the Bristol Animal Shelter. The Alzheimer's Association will host "Blues on the Beach" from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Atlantic Beach Club, 55 Purgatory Road, Middletown. The Providence Fullcourt Boardroom will host the “Heal and Hope Golf Classic” on Friday, Aug. 9 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Agawam Hunt Country Club, 15 Roger Williams Ave., Rumford. The event will feature a continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, cash bar and awards ceremony with raffle, auction and contests. Local sports legends are expected to participate including; Abdul Adullah, Ernie DiGregorio, Ruben Garces and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit St. Mary’s Home for Children. The 2013 Newport Antiques Show will host its annual show at St. George's School, 372 Purgatory Road, Middletown from July 26 through 28. The event will feature more than 40 of the country’s top dealers with an assortment of items for sale including; paintings, furniture, folk art, jewelry, and fine and decorative arts.
