If a nonprofit wants an upcoming fundraiser to be considered for a calendar listing, email information to at least four weeks in advance of the event.


Allstate Insurance and Bay Realty will host their annual reception fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, at The Coast Guard House Restaurant 40 Ocean Road, Narragansett. The event is in celebration of 32 years of supporting Meeting Street and the money raised will help support programs and activities for the hundreds of children and young adults enrolled in Meeting Street’s support services and centers. The 10th annual Edd Pedro’s Fight for a Cure Wiffleball Tournament will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Slater Memorial Park, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Over 100 prizes will be given away and food and music will be provided. Former Boston Red Sox pitcher, Dennis Ray "Oil Can" Boyd will be at the event. All proceeds will go towards the Arthritis Foundation to help find a cure to juvenile arthritis. The Rhode Island Blood Center will also hold a blood drive at the event. The Greenwich Odeum will host a summer fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, at Finn’s Harborside, 38 Water St., East Greenwich. The event will support the theater's operations in preparation for launching a new season of music, comedy, drama, and more this fall and will feature appetizers and live music. Cost: $35. The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) will host its annual dog walk fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Goddard Memorial State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick. Participants are invited to bring their dog(s), friends, and family for a one-mile walk through the beautiful trails of Goddard Park. Macy’s Providence Place will host its annual charity event on Saturday, Aug., 25 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Providence Place Mall, 7 Providence Place, Providence.
