PROVIDENCE – Gov. Gina M. Raimondo has the eighth-lowest favorability rating among governors in the nation, according to a poll by Morning Consult.
Morning Consult, a media and technology company, said 53 percent of voters disapprove of her performance, while 41 percent approve it, and 5 percent are undecided. The margin of error is 5.7 percent.
It said Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker is the most popular governor, with a 72 percent approval rating, while Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is the least, with 65 percent of voters disapproving of his performance. Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy runs close behind at 64 percent.
Morning Consult’s survey was conducted between January and May, and included more than 66,000 voters in all 50 states; data was weighed using the U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey. Sample sizes varied from state to state based on population.
