PROVIDENCE – Premama is entering the natural foods market to grow its line of maternity wellness products.
Premama, which makes natural powdered drink mixes and soft chews for expecting and new mothers, said it will launch a new chewable product – Premama Digestive Aid – at the Natural Products Expo West 2016, which is being held March 11-13 in Anaheim, Calif.
The Premama Digestive Aid was described by the company as a prenatal fiber and probiotic chew and the first non-powdered drink mix product to join its brand portfolio.
“Moving into the natural products market will help Premama meet the demand for natural maternity wellness solutions from a larger, health-focused consumer base,” Jamie Schapiro, chief marketing officer, Premama, said in a statement. “We are creating a new standard in women’s wellness for prenatal nutritional supplements that address the concerns and conditions related to pregnancy with natural, palatable solutions.”
Premama recently broadened its distribution strategy to include natural foods retailers and distributors, including Sprouts and KeHE Distributing. Premama will also launch four products at Vitamin Shoppe in May.
Premama Fertility has been named one of three finalists in the “Best New Supplement Delivery Format” category for the 2016 NEXTY Awards (the winner will be named March 12), and Premama Lactation has been named a finalist in the “Best in Women’s Health” category for the Delicious Living 2016 Supplement Awards.
Premama is available online at drinkpremama.com, and retailers including CVS/pharmacy, Buy Buy Baby, Target.com and Amazon.
