Preservation Society offers free mobile app to enhance mansion tours

NEWPORT – The Preservation Society of Newport County has introduced a free mobile app to offer visitors to some of the mansions a way to enhance their audio tour experience using their own smart devices.
The mobile app is available for download as “NewportMansions” through the app store for both Apple and Android devices. It includes photos as well as text to accompany audio tours at The Breakers, Marble House, Rosecliff, and later this summer, The Elms.
Now operating daily are The Breakers, Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, The Elms, Green Animals Topiary Garden, Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, Kingscote, Marble House and Rosecliff. All houses will remain open daily through Columbus Day, Oct. 10
From Oct. 11 to Nov. 18, The Breakers, Chateau-sur-Mer, The Elms, Marble House and Rosecliff will be open daily. From Nov. 19 to Jan. 1, 2017, The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House and Rosecliff will remain open daily.
