ProCAP changes name to Community Action Partnership of Providence

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Community Action Program, Providence’s largest human services organization, has officially changed its name to Community Action Partnership of Providence, the organization announced Friday.

CAPP for short, the organization operates, promotes and support the development of human service programs aimed at improving the lives of low-to-moderate income households in Providence.

According to a release announcing the change, Providence residents will soon see a new sign over the building at 518 Hartford Ave.

“CAPP will continue to provide the needed services and programs that the community has come to expect,” said a release, adding that it plans to look into expanding services and programs to better meet the needs of the community.
