More than 30 members of the Executives Association of Rhode Island joined forces to participate in Project Undercover this holiday season. The project provides Rhode Island children with fresh undergarments.
Although there is a wealth of collection drives for gifts and food during the holidays, the bare necessities can sometimes go overlooked. More than 45,000 Rhode Island children living in poverty don’t have access to these essentials, so Project Undercover works to supply little ones with 1 million diapers and 180,000 pairs of socks and underwear each year.
This is the fourth year that the Executives Association of Rhode Island has participated in the charity and this season donations went to families of veterans through Operation Stand Down Rhode Island. The association also donated hats, mittens and other winter necessities.
Other supporters of Project Undercover include Amica Mutual Insurance Co., CVS Health, Citizens Bank, Hasbro, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation and Whole Foods Markets. •
