Providence Children’s Museum hosting weekend Halloween events

PROVIDENCE – Providence Children’s Museum is hosting two family-friendly events this weekend in celebration of Halloween.

On Oct. 29 from noon to 2 p.m. the museum will introduce children to different creepy, prickly, hairy, but not too scary, creatures. Dave Marchetti, of Animal Experiences, will teach them facts about each of the animals.

Then, on Oct. 30, the museum will host its annual Boo Bash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day’s hands-on activities include a mad science lab with slime and magical mixtures, arts and “witch crafts” with invisible ink, “boo-wling,” story time with haunted Halloween tales and a scavenger hunt with mysterious surprises.

Kids are encouraged to dress in costume for both events, which are free with the $9 per person museum entry fee, which is free for members.
