Prov.net announces completion of fiber optic ultra low latency network

PROVIDENCE – Provdotnet, a regional provider of specialized data center, Internet IP connectivity and co-location services in New England, has completed its fiber optic ultra low latency network project between Providence, Boston and Chelmsford, Mass.
Ultra low latency describes a computer network that can process a very high volume of data packets with little delay, providing real-time access and responding to rapidly changing data, according to informatica.com.
“With our facilities 75 miles apart from one another, it’s an ideal regional [disaster recovery] solution,” Ron Sacks, CEO of Provdotnet, said in a statement.
The company said it has continued to evolve and innovate at a rapid pace.
It also noted the opening of its new facility in Chelmsford, as well as its partnership with MASS IX, which interconnects facilities and telecommunication providers across the region. It said these initiatives have positioned the company as a leading provider of specialized data center services such as Edge, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and Internet of Things.
Provdotnet also redesigned its website to provide a better overview of the company’s offerings and capabilities.
