Prudential Gammons Realty joins Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices

EAST GREENWICH – Prudential Gammons Realty LLC has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the companies announced recently, and will operate as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gammons Realty.
The brokerage, which has 55 agents, was founded in 2001. It will open a second office in South County, and plans to leverage the new brand to expand its footprint in Rhode Island.
Gammons Realty broker and owner Allen Gammons said the alignment with Berkshire Hathaway will allow the company to strengthen its existing relationships and grow its presence. Bruce Lane, the president of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors, is an agent with Gammons Realty.
The Berkshire Hathaway brand appeals to a broader range of consumers, including buyers in higher end markets, according to Gammons. With the affiliation, Gammons Realty agents will gain access to the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Global Network Platform, a suite of online tools, applications and services, in addition to professional education, business consultation and marketing support.
The new South County office will be led by Kelli Improta.
In a statement, Improta said the affiliation will strengthen the company’s ability to attract clients who are relocating to Rhode Island. “We look forward to growing as a leader in the Rhode Island real estate market,” Improta said.
In 2014, Prudential Gammons sold $88 million in residential value in the Ocean State, and was ranked as the 15th largest residential real estate agency. It also sold 295 residences last year, according to Providence Business News research.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is part of the HSF Affiliates LLC family of real estate brokerage franchise networks. Based in Irvine, Calif., Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has 38,000 agents and is located in 47 states.
