WESTERLY – A public information meeting will be held Aug. 2 about the proposed sale of LMW Healthcare, d/b/a Westerly Hospital, to Yale-New Haven Health Services Corp.
Lawrence + Memorial Corp., the parent of Westerly Hospital since 2014, has had its application to merge with Yale-New Haven Health Services accepted for review by Rhode Island agencies.
The meeting, from 4-6 p.m. at Westerly Town Hall, is being held by the R.I. Office of Attorney General and R.I. Department of Health.
The Office of Attorney General and RIDOH each received expedited review initial applications for a hospital conversion filed by the two organizations. Accepted for review on June 11, they are available as follows:

The Office of Attorney General and RIDOH also will accept written comments regarding the proposed transaction. Comments must be received by 4 p.m. on Aug. 9.
