Pyramis names Pam Holding head of portfolio management

SMITHFIELD – Equity portfolio management teams at Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments Co., will be led by Pam Holding, who has been named head of portfolio management.

Holding’s position was created to bring additional senior resources to institutional asset management as Pyramis Global Advisors expands its global presence, according to a Business Wire report on Jan. 2.

“Pam offers experience across asset classes and her joining our senior investment management team will create additional capacity for all senior investment staff,” said Mike Jones, president and CEO of Pyramis. “This appointment will help us continue on our path to best serve our clients in the most effective way.”

Holding was previously managing director of global value equities at Putnam Investments in Boston, and has worked in the company’s London office. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

In addition to its Smithfield headquarters, Pyramis has offices in Boston, Toronto, Montreal, London and Hong Kong. Company assets are $190 billion.
