Cranston-based Qualified Resources International Inc., founded in 2010, is a staffing company that has, in some form or another, been in the office for more than 20 years.

The company has two divisions: light industrial and office services, which feature mostly temporary positions, as well as permanent placement, for accountants, engineers and production management. Ninety-five percent of Qualified Resources’ business clients are manufacturers.

Over the past three years, Qualified Resources increased its revenue 50 percent to $2.6 million.

“Our employment has grown significantly,” said Tim Harrington, chairman. He attributes the company’s growth to excellent leadership under his wife, Emily Harrington, president, and Operations Manager Laura Naughton. He also credits the company’s climb with consistent, high-quality service, which keeps referrals coming in.

“We have a simple formula,” he said. “We’re there to make a very good experience – for the applicant, the candidates, our assignment employees and our clients, and they all go together.”

The company relies on referrals, and recruiting is ongoing in today’s economic climate. “Our clients learn that they can rely on us. It’s all connected. We’re very fortunate.”

Goals in 2017 for Qualified Resources include opening an office in Massachusetts and continued expansion of its permanent placement program. •
