Why did you select your profession?

Growing up, my parents often talked about the need for government system reform around health care and poverty programs to help low-income women. I studied public-benefit programs in college and continued that interest in law school and after.

Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?

In 10 years my children will be older and I hope to be able to devote more time to my advocacy work.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received?

Find a job that you are really passionate about and enjoy.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

Don’t spend too much time stressing about the future.

How do you keep a work-life balance?

My three children make sure I’m focused on them when I’m home. •
