RBS honors 117 workers with 25 years of service

PROVIDENCE – RBS Citizens Financial Group Inc. Chairman and CEO Ellen Alemany unveiled 117 specially inscribed bricks honoring colleagues who have been with the company for 25 years. The bricks, each bearing the name of an honoree, will be permanently installed outside RBS Citizens’ headquarters at One Citizens Plaza. More than 2,000 employees have been honored with bricks since the bank started the tradition in 1999.
The brick dedication on June 4 kicked off RBS Citizens’ annual Colleague Appreciation Week, which recognizes colleagues’ hard work on behalf of the bank’s customers and local communities. U.S. Rep. David N. Cicilline joined company executives in congratulating honorees and their families at the ceremony.
“Today is a day when we celebrate the extraordinary loyalty of Citizens’ living legacy – our colleagues with 25 years of service,” Alemany said. “Their significant contributions to our company and steadfast commitment have helped us grow, succeed and make a real difference for our customers and the communities we serve.”
All RBS Citizens colleagues will be welcomed at Colleague Appreciation Week activities across the bank’s 12-state footprint. Those in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest celebrated the week of June 4, while New England will celebrate during the week of June 11. This year’s theme for the events is “Thank You, Good Citizens.”
