R.I. companies recognized by landscape association

WARWICK – Six Rhode Island companies have been recognized for their contributions to the state’s landscape industry by the Rhode Island Nursery & Landscape Association at the group’s annual meeting.

  • In commercial design and installation, Manchester Landscaping of Wakefield won a first place award for the Peace Dale Congregational Church courtyard in Wakefield.
  • In residential design and installation, John C. Carter & Co. of Narragansett won a first place award for “Rumstick Gem” in Barrington.
  • In residential maintenance, Landscape Creations of Rhode Island of Narragansett won a first place award for a Watch Hill residence in Westerly.
  • In residential hardscape/masonry, Northern Landscape Corp. of Glocester won a first place award for the “Coleman-Hall Residence.”
  • In sustainable landscapes, Professional Landscape Gardening of Providence won a first place award for a residence on the East Side of Providence.
  • In the specialty/other category, Earth Scape Inc. of West Greenwich won a first place award for a water feature for the “DiSegna Residence” in East Greenwich.
  • A second-place award was given in the residential design and installation category to Manchester Landscaping of Wakefield for a backyard garden in Wakefield.
  • A second-place award was given in the residential hardscape/masonry category to Landscape Creations of Rhode Island of Narragansett for a Bonnet Shores residence in Narragansett.
