R.I. firm acquires Florida firm

An East Providence insurance brokerage, with a division in Fort Myer, Fla., acquired its first company since moving to the Sunshine State this past summer.
S&S Insurance Solutions of Florida, a division of East Providence-based Starkweather & Shipley Insurance Brokerage Inc., announced earlier this month its acquisition of Community Imperial Agency in Naples, Fla., according to a press release.
The multi-lane insurance agency, formed in 1995, will continue to provide personal lines and commercial line coverage to families and businesses in southwest Florida under the directive of S&S Insurance Solutions of Florida.
Community Imperial Insurance president Jeffry Stuek is excited about the acquisition, according to the release.
“This will enable me to provide additional markets, resources to my customers in the Naples and Ft. Myers Area and continue the excellent service they deserve,” Stuek said in the release.
Community Imperial Agency is S&S Insurance Solutions’ first acquisition since setting up shop in Fort Myers last summer.
“It’s a pleasure to add someone with Jeff’s experience and knowledge of the Naples insurance market to our organization,” said Mark Levine, president of S&S Insurance Solutions of Florida. “The acquisition of Community Imperial allows us to continue our growth strategy in southwest Florida, and to provide quality and responsive insurance services to our clients in the area.”
