R.I. gets endometriosis foundation chapter

Posted 1/21/13

PROVIDENCE – Jennifer Zanni, who was diagnosed in her early 30s with endrometriosis, has created the Endometriosis Foundation of Rhode Island, a nonprofit chapter of the national organization.

The chapter’s first fundraiser will be held on Jan. 22, hosted by Alex and Ani at its corporate headquarters in Chapel View in Cranston.

“The impact this condition has is not only on the women who suffer, but also their families and loved ones,” Zanni said. “The foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness of endometriosis and to contributing to ongoing and new research initiatives to help find the causes and, hopefully, a cure.” •
