R.I.’s Hasbro is named top healthy workplace

PAWTUCKET – Hasbro Inc. earned top ranking by Greatist in their 46 Healthiest Companies to Work For list, the company said in a news release. Hasbro earned the top spot in the 5,000-20,000 employees category.
Hasbro said that the award acknowledged the company’s efforts to find unique ways to promote wellness by showcasing the “company’s ‘fun’ culture and bringing awareness of healthy lifestyles to its employees.”
Hasbro offers “traditional” wellness offerings – including fitness centers, benefits fairs/wellness fairs, blood drives, biometrics, chair massage, farmers’ markets/CSAs, and health-risk assessments – alongside its other, nontraditional efforts. Those include: “Candy Land” themed healthy steps path at Hasbro’s Rhode Island offices, Shape Up Rhode Island participation, workshops in mindfulness meditation and office yoga, and hands-on lunchtime workshops on healthy eating. •
