RWU recognized for study abroad program

BRISTOL – Roger Williams University’s study abroad program is one of the 50 best in America, according to Best College Reviews.
Best College Reviews, an independent college search and rankings website, selected schools based on criteria including, limited program enrollment, ensuring “an intimate experience while abroad;” length of at least one semester; faculty involvement during program; and dedicated university specific international location, not just enrollment at an international university.
Roger Williams ranked No. 37 on the list. The website states that the university offers students “numerous study abroad opportunities.” It states that RWU in Florence is a program where students “take classes in architecture, art history, visual arts, political science, cultural studies and Italian while living in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy.”
Kevin C. Hayden, director of study abroad programs for the Spiegel Center for Global and International Programs at Roger Williams University, said that the study abroad program at RWU “is an integral component to our overall academic experience because it provides a unique avenue for students to expand their viewpoint and learn new ways to approach a situation or problem.”
“At Roger Williams University, we truly value serving as that gateway to the world for our students and helping them recognize where their place is in the world. We’re thrilled that our program is being recognized for these efforts,” Hayden said in a statement.
