RWU students win regional moot court

BRISTOL – The National Moot Court Team at Roger Williams University School of Law won the New England regional competition, besting Northeastern University, Boston University, Suffolk University and Syracuse University in the November competition.
The team now will compete in the national final rounds held Jan. 28-31, in New York City.
The National Moot Court Competition, sponsored for over 60 years by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American College of Trial Lawyers, allows law students practice at appellate advocacy skills through arguing before prominent law professionals. More than 180 accredited law schools and approximately 1,000 law students participate. •
