Regan joins national brand, plans to offer plumbing services, hire more workers

PROVIDENCE – Regan Heating and Air Conditioning has formed a partnership with Sarasota, Fla.-based One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, part of the Direct Energy brand family, the company announced Monday.

Regan, in business since 1973, will soon add plumbing services to its offerings, under the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing name. As a result of the partnership, it will now be known as Regan One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning and Regan Ben Franklin Plumbing.

Stephen Landes, marketing manager, Regan One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, said Monday that the company, which employs approximately 60, will hire an additional 15-20 employees in the near future, and also anticipates moving into a larger location in the city this year to accommodate the growth. It currently is at 235 Georgia Ave.

Landes said the partnership will allow Regan to offer better warranties and guarantees, as well as better pricing. He said the company will remain locally owned and operated, and will become a become a franchisee of Direct Energy’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.

Matt Regan, son of founders Terry and Joyce Regan of East Greenwich, will continue to serve as owner and general manager.
