Rhode Island KIDS COUNT holds its annual celebration of children’s health

PROVIDENCE – KIDS COUNT will hold its annual Celebration of Children’s Health event on Monday, Nov. 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon will be held at the Providence Marriott, at Charles and Orms streets. According to KIDS COUNT, the event will recognize the 10th anniversary of RIte Smiles, the state’s managed oral health program for children covered under Medicaid and Covering Kids Awards’ recipients. Political leaders, including Governor Gina Raimondo, U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, and State Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed and House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello, are expected to attend.
