Robert R. Kent Jr. has been named senior vice president and commercial lending team leader at The Washington Trust Co. Kent will be responsible for the Providence-based commercial lending team, as well as oversight and development of the credit underwriting staff. Kent has more than 27 years of industry experience and holds a B.S. in accounting from Northeastern University. •
