Rubber Duck Race set for Sept. 23

WARWICK – The inaugural Rubber Duck Race for Children’s Wishes will be held Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lincoln Woods State Park in Lincoln.
Children’s Wishes is a nonprofit organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical illnesses.
The fundraising event will allow participants to “adopt” a rubber duck by raffle ticket. The first three ducks to cross the finish line on a water course will earn their owner a cash prize of $350, $150, or $75 depending on where it places.
The last duck to cross the finish line will earn its owner $25. The race will begin at noon. Participants can “adopt” ducks through the organization’s website, www.cwishesri.com. Participants do not have to be present at the race to win. No ducks will be sold on race day.
The day will also include raffle prizes, food vendors, and kids’ games.
