WASHINGTON – Center for Women and Enterprise will receive $375,000 in U.S. Small Business Administration grants toward Hurricane Sandy recovery, the SBA announced Wednesday.

The organization, which has locations in Providence, Boston and Worcester, Mass., will act as the lead coordinator in Rhode Island and Massachusetts to provide integrated training and consulting services to small business owners affected by the storm.

“This funding will provide extensive collaborative services to help small businesses recover and rebuild from Hurricane Sandy, so they can do what they do best, grow the local economy and create jobs,” said SBA Administrator Karen Mills in a statement.

The grants are part of a total $13.1 million SBA’s partners will issue to collaborative teams to help small businesses recover from the storm.

CWE provides education, training and technical assistance to women looking to start or grow their own businesses.
