SBANE calling for nominations for 2015 New England Innovation Awards Program

WALTHAM – The Smaller Business Association of New England, also known as SBANE, is calling for nominations for its 2015 New England Innovation Awards program.

The program honors the “ability to innovate,” from the development of innovative technologies to methods of producing products and delivering services. Biotechnology, medical devices, health care, software, manufacturing, defense, retail, education and nonprofit are some of the sectors that have been represented at the awards in the past.

The Innovation Awards program continues for five months, from the call for nominations this month through the initial judging and nominee reception on March 19, followed by the finalists presentations and judging and reception on April 9, and the gala awards presentation and dinner on May 6.

Robert M. Shea, chairman of the Board of Directors, said last year, there were 210 nominees, 20 finalists and eight award winners. There were 64 judges and 46 nominee mentors.
