MIDDLETOWN – Systems Engineering Associates Corp. is part of a team that has been awarded a $55 million Naval Sea Systems Command contract for submarine work.
Through the five-year contract, SEA Corp. will work alongside Manassas, Va.-based Progeny Systems Corp. and Middletown-based Mikel Inc. on design, development, testing and delivery of the Payload Control System portion of the AN/BYG-1 submarine combat-control system for U.S. Navy submarines that are in service and being constructed.
The AN/BYG-1 program features software and hardware upgrades to improve tactical and weapons control capabilities on submarines.
SEA Corp., which employs approximately 400, provides systems and engineering services primarily to government customers. •
