TAUNTON – The South Eastern Economic Development Corp. and Westerly Credit Union are sponsoring two free basic entrepreneurial workshops on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
“Learn the Fundamentals in Planning, Preparing and Financing Your Business” will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is at 9:30 p.m. and breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to participants. A guide to writing a business plan and other startup materials are included.
The second workshop, “Understanding the Purpose of Financial Statements and How They Can Help Determine the Health of Your Business” will be held on the same day from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The workshop includes a review of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
The workshops are being held in cooperation with the Rhode Island District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration and other regional business groups.
Location for the workshops is the Babcock-Smith House at 124 Granite St. in Westerly. Preregistration by Wednesday, Nov. 6 is through SEED at 508-822-1020.
