SEED makes $1M in loans, 19 new jobs expected

TAUNTON – The South Eastern Economic Development Corp. has made $1 million in loans to three small businesses that will create 19 new jobs, according to a press release from the nonprofit SEED Corp.

The southeastern Massachusetts businesses receiving the loans are Shaggy Chic in Attelboro; Produce Barn in Norton and Lacerta Group in Mansfield.

Lacerta Group, a manufacturer of customized packaging, received a $732,000 loan to purchase equipment that will allow the company to create 12 new jobs.

Produce Barn, a grocery and hardware store, got a $260,000 loan to purchase a building in Norton for use as a general store. Three new jobs will be created.

Shaggy Chic received a $10,000 loan to launch the new dog grooming business, which will create four jobs.
