Both workshops will be held at the Center for Women & Enterprise at 132 George M. Cohan Blvd. in Providence. The first will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the topic “Learn the Fundamentals in Planning, Preparing and Financing Your Business,” and will instruct entrepreneurs in how to get started, where and how to secure financing, and how to go through the loan application process. Attendees will receive a free guide to writing a business plan and complimentary breakfast and lunch.

The second workshop, titled “Understanding the Purpose of Financial Statements and How They Can Help Determine the Health of Your Business,” will focus on understanding balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, as well as anticipating financial needs to operate a business efficiently.
